Marci Parkhurst

Program Assistant Ii-art Education at Philbrook Museum of Art

Marci Parkhurst has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1994, they served as a Combat Medic in the US Army. In 1997, they took a role as a DO III at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Department. From 2000 to 2007, they worked as a Dispatch/Court Clerk for the City of Tulsa Police Department and as a Document Management Tech for Mathey Dearman, Inc. From 2010 to 2016, they held multiple roles at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa Campus, including Helpdesk Technician, Graduate Student Public History, and Work Study-Campus Police. Marci also worked as an Enumerator for the US Census Bureau in 2010. In 2015, they took a role as a Digital Archivist/Intern at Gilcrease Museum, where they archived digital images of over 400,000 pieces of art, artifacts, and historic documentation. Finally, in 2016, they worked as a Program Assistant-Art Education at Philbrook Museum of Art.

Marci Parkhurst obtained their Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Tulsa Community College between 1988 and 2012. Marci then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization and History from Oklahoma State University between 2008 and 2013.
