The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) is the public information arm of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines as mandated by Executive Order No. 100 signed in 1986. PIA serves the Office of the President through the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), National Government Agencies, Government Owned and Controlled Corporations, Government Financial Institutions, local government units, and other public sector entities in communicating their programs, projects, and services to the Filipino people. PIA provides timely, accurate, relevant, and truthful information through numerous traditional and new media platforms and its 16 Regional Offices and 78 Information Centers across the Philippines.
