Emma Sparks is an experienced educator and program director with a strong focus on social-emotional learning and cultural engagement. As Co-Chair of the US-Haiti Relations Committee at Write To Be, Emma develops volunteer and learning opportunities that emphasize Haitian culture. In previous roles at Write To Be, Emma created a curriculum for Haitian girls and managed communications between the US board and Haitian teachers. At Philip's Academy Charter School, Emma leads classroom instruction and collaborates with families, while also facilitating reading interventions. Emma has a background in after-school programming and English as a Second Language instruction, and possesses a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio Wesleyan University.
