Neal McDaniel

Chief Scientist

Neal McDaniel is the Chief Scientist for Carbon Mitigation at Phillips 66, where they focus on research and development in hydrogen, midstream operations, chemicals, and battery materials. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Caltech. Neal previously worked as a Staff Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University from 2009 to 2010. Since joining Phillips 66 in 2010, they have contributed significantly to advancements in battery anode materials and testing.
