Martin Wilson

Chief General Counsel at Phillips

Martin Wilson has been the Chief General Counsel at Phillips since June 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Global Managing Director and General Counsel for Christie's Global President's Office from July 1998 to June 2018. In this role, Wilson provided legal, financial, commercial, and strategic advice to the Global President and regional presidents. Martin also worked in partnership with the presidents to ensure the effective execution of their strategies for Christie's highest profile sales and key client relationships.

Wilson began their career as a solicitor at Field Fisher Waterhouse in January 1988. Martin then moved to Allison & Humphreys in January 1992, where they served as a senior solicitor until December 1998.

Martin Wilson's educational career includes studying at the Council of Legal Education (Bar School), University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and King's College London. Martin also attended Oakham School.

They work with Myriam Christinaz - Co-International Business Director, Watches & Jewelry, Cathy Elkies - Global Managing Director, Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, and Robert Manley - Deputy Chairman & Co-Head of 20th Century & Contemporary Art. Martin Wilson reports to Edward Dolman, Chief Executive Officer.
