Joe Hoffmann

SVP, Tax at Phillips Edison & Company

Joe Hoffmann joined Phillips Edison and Company in August 2018 as the Senior Vice President of Tax. He has overall responsibility for managing and directing the Company’s tax function including tax compliance, tax planning and the accounting for income taxes. Prior to joining Phillips Edison, Mr. Hoffmann spent over 14 years at Fifth Third Bank where he held multiple leadership positions in the tax department, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Director of Tax Compliance and Reporting where he was responsible for managing and directing the accounting for income taxes and the federal, foreign and state income tax compliance. Prior to his time with Fifth Third Bank, Mr. Hoffmann spent over 13 years at KPMG, LLP where he served various clients, including partnerships, closely-held corporations, and public companies. Mr. Hoffmann is a Certified Public Accountant and he graduated from Miami University.
