Alexander van Boetzelaer

Alexander van Boetzelaer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership and business development. Currently serving as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Head of Strategy at Philips since December 2019, Alexander is responsible for guiding the company’s strategic direction across various global business sectors, including Imaging and Personal Health. Prior to Philips, Alexander spent over 13 years at RELX Group, progressing to the role of Executive Vice President Strategy at Elsevier, where a focus on customer-centric strategies was pivotal in driving growth. Alexander's earlier career includes significant contributions at Booz Allen Hamilton, where corporate and innovation strategies were developed for major sectors. Alexander holds both BA and MA degrees in Law and History from Leiden University.
