Jochem Thijssen

Jochem Thijssen is a seasoned professional in the lighting industry with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the System Architect for Platforms & Luminaires at Philips Lighting since September 2010, Jochem defines product architecture and contributes to the strategic roadmap for connected LED luminaires and light engines. Prior to this role, Jochem worked as a Product Engineer at Atomis Architectural Lighting BV, focusing on the development of energy-efficient lighting fixtures, and as a Design Engineer at Van Nieuwenborg Industrial Design, where Jochem specialized in lighting and central heating designs. Jochem's career began with a graduation project at Euroglas BV, developing laboratory equipment. Jochem holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, completed in 2000.
