Joost Burghoorn

Joost Burghoorn is an accomplished logistics and supply chain professional with over two decades of experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Director of Global Integrated Warehousing and Distribution at Royal Philips since August 2018, Joost has successfully reduced the number of warehouses from over 400 to approximately 100 while implementing a Global Warehousing and Distribution Strategy, which resulted in significant cost savings of around €6 million annually and improved supply chain performance for Medical Devices in the USA. Prior experience includes serving as Transport Director Europe at Signify, where Joost was responsible for all transport services in Europe and led cost reduction initiatives, and multiple senior logistics management roles at Philips, including overseeing outsourced warehouses in the Middle East and Africa and optimizing distribution processes across Europe. Joost holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
