Chiara Alberti, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and immunology. In 2013, they began their career as an Undergraduate Student at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, where they focused on developmental biology and conducted research on the role of the transcription factor Sox2 in the development of the hippocampus in mice. Chiara completed this role in July 2014.
From 2014 to 2019, Chiara worked at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP). Initially, they were a PHD Student, conducting research on RNA biology and development in the lab of Dr. Luisa Cochella. Chiara'sPHD thesis title was "Dissecting the contribution of microRNAs to nervous system development and function in Caenorhabditis elegans." During this time, Chiara developed a groundbreaking technique called "mime-seq" to study microRNA expression with single-cell resolution in living animals. Chiara applied this technique to investigate microRNA roles in neuronal diversification in different neuronal populations of the worm. Chiara ended their role as a PHD Student in March 2019 and continued as a Postdoctoral Scientist until June 2019.
In 2019, Chiara joined the Institute for Experimental Immunology at the University of Zurich as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Chiara worked in this role until June 2022, contributing to research in immunology.
Most recently, Chiara joined Philogen S.p.A. in July 2022 as a Junior Clinical Project Manager, where they are currently employed.
Chiara Alberti obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Chiara further pursued their education at the same university and completed their Master's degree in Molecular Biology from 2011 to 2014. Chiara has not provided any other education information outside of these experiences.
