Matt Nydell

Matt Nydell has held various roles in the legal and corporate fields over the past 26 years. Matt began their career in 1994 as a Senior Counsel at MCI Communications Corporation. In 1998, they joined VIA NET.WORKS as General Counsel and Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary. In 2006, they became President & Senior Managing Director of Arete Corporate Advisory LLC, a corporate advisory firm. In 2008, they were General Counsel for Empirix and a Member of Outside GC LLC. From 2010 to 2014, they held various roles at Market Force Information, including Chief Legal & Development Officer, Chief Legal & Strategy Officer, and Acting Chief Technology Officer. In 2017, they became Co-Founder of PHION Technologies. In 2021, they were appointed Managing Director at Arete Corporate Advisory.

Matt Nydell obtained a JD/MA from the University of Virginia in Law & International Affairs and a BA from Bucknell University in Philosophy & Foreign Affairs.
