Gehan Panapitiya

Gehan Panapitiya is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. Currently serving as the Platform Engineering Manager at Phocas Software since May 2025, Gehan focuses on scalable infrastructure and AI adoption. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Engineer at Xero, where expertise was applied in Kubernetes Infrastructure and AI operations, particularly in designing systems for large language models. Gleaning knowledge across various roles at companies such as Diligent Corporation, Tait Communications, and HSBC, Gehan has honed skills in deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and advanced networking solutions. Educational background includes a BSc in Information Technology from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology.
