Derek Heard

Derek Heard is a Medical Director at Phoebe Putney Health System, a position held since June 2019. Educationally, Derek obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, completing studies in May 1999. Additionally, a Masters of Healthcare Leadership was earned from Wake Forest University Graduate School in May 2023, following a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Pre-Med from Albany State University, awarded in April 1995.
