Jeff Coggins

Jeff Coggins has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Jeff has worked at multiple companies and held various roles throughout their career.

In 2009, they joined East Texas Flying Service as a pilot, instructor, and A&P mechanic. Jeff worked there until 2010.

Next, in 2010, they joined Wings of Alaska as a pilot and stayed there for a few months.

In 2011, they joined Stark Flight Services as a Heron UAV Pilot and remained with the company until 2012.

After that, they worked with a private company as a contract pilot, providing pilot and mechanic support to various customers. Jeff was involved in operating different aircraft types, including turbine, turboprop, reciprocating, and rotor wing.

In 2013, they joined ACADEMI as a ScanEagle FSR, working until 2014.

In 2014, they briefly joined Jones Aviation as a pilot and mechanic.

Their most recent job is with Phoenix Air Group, where they have held multiple roles. Jeff started in 2015 as a Captain & Site Rep. and continued until 2021. Then, they became the Assistant Director of Operations, Part 135, and since 2023, they have been serving as the Chief Pilot for the company.

Jeff Coggins obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Jacksonville University, graduating in 2008. Additionally, they have several certifications obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration and ATF. These certifications include Gulfstream G-1159 PIC (obtained in May 2022), Check Airman (full authority) (obtained in March 2022), 1.1E Responsible Person (obtained in September 2016), LR-JET PIC (obtained in April 2015), Airline Transport Pilot (obtained in December 2009), Airframe & Powerplant (obtained in November 2009), and Certified Flight instructor (CFII-MEI) (obtained in June 2007).
