John Shaw

John Shaw started their career in 1997 as an Art & Art History Instructor at Maricopa County Community Colleges, where they worked until 2021. In 2006, they transitioned to the Phoenix Art Museum, where they held various roles in Human Resources, culminating in their position as Senior Director of Human Resources. John managed all HR functions, fostering a high-performing culture that emphasized core competencies such as professionalism, leadership, and innovation.

John Shaw pursued their education in the field of Ceramic Arts and Ceramics, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from Arizona State University in 1994. John furthered their studies at The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in the same field in 1997. In 2018-2019, they explored a different path by studying Professional in Human Resources at the University of Arizona.
