Dr Rahul Khanna has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry and mental health. Dr Rahul is the Founding Program Director (Clinical) for Transforming Trauma Victoria at Phoenix Australia. Dr Rahul served as the Director of Innovation & Medical Governance at Phoenix Australia, where they provided clinical governance support to various clinical streams and launched new clinical services. Dr Khanna has also worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Austin Health, overseeing clinics and inpatient units, supervising trainees, and contributing to research activities. Dr Rahul has held roles at the University of Melbourne as a Senior Lecturer, PhD Candidate, Honorary Fellow, and Honorary Clinical Tutor. Additionally, they have been a Strategic & Product Advisor at More Good Days, a Board Advisor at Flintworks, and a Co-Founder at Thumos Health. Dr Khanna has also served as the President of the Victorian Association of Psychiatry Trainees. Dr Rahul began their medical career as a Medical Intern at Barwon Health.

Dr Rahul Khanna completed their education in a chronological order. Dr Rahul first attended Ivanhoe Grammar School for high school. Dr Rahul then enrolled at the University of Melbourne, where they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery and Arts (Philosophy) degree in 2010. In 2012, they pursued a Master of Psychiatry from the same university, specializing in Psychiatry. In 2018, they completed a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Leadership also at the University of Melbourne. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Digital mental health, which they are expected to complete in 2024 at the University of Melbourne. Moreover, Dr Khanna has undertaken several additional certifications throughout the years, including courses in finance, behavioral design for health, machine learning, programming fundamentals, clinical trial design and interpretation, and qualitative research methods.
