Jon McGreevy

Program Director Pediatric Residency Program Phoenix Children's Hospital at Phoenix Children's Hospital

Jon McGreevy has extensive experience in the medical field, with a focus on pediatrics and emergency medicine. Jon began their career in 2002 as a Pediatric Resident at the University of Texas Southwestern. Following that, they served as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Washington University School of Medicine, where they also completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. During their time at Washington University, Jon gained experience in various roles, including second attending in the Emergency Department and solo coverage of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

In 2011, Jon worked as an Attending Physician at Maricopa Medical Center before joining Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2013. At Phoenix Children's Hospital, they held several roles, including Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program and Physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department. Jon later became the Section Chief of Emergency Medicine, Assistant Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department, and Vice Chair of Medicine. In 2020, Jon took on the position of Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Aside from their work at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Jon also served on the Arizona AAP Pediatric Preparedness Board at the American Academy of Pediatrics starting in 2019.

Jon McGreevy pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the University of Arizona, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Jon then attended the Creighton University School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1998 to 2002. Jon further enhanced their expertise by completing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Saint Louis University from 2007 to 2010. Apart from their academic qualifications, Jon also obtained several certifications, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support from reputable institutions. Furthermore, they were recognized as a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
