Susan Johnson has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Susan started their career as an RN Supervisor at Scottsdale Healthcare, where they were responsible for staffing schedules, development plans, and conducting annual evaluations. Susan then became a Registered Nurse at Banner Health before moving up to the role of RN Director of Perioperative and Endoscopy Services. In this position, they oversaw 16 surgical suites, 10 operating rooms, and 6 CVORs, as well as pre-admission testing, pre-op/PACU, endoscopy, and sterile processing departments in a Level 3 trauma center. Susan also held the role of RN Director of Women and Infant Services, where they were responsible for hiring staff, creating policies and procedures, managing budgets, and ensuring Joint Commission accreditation. Most recently, they have become the Director of Nursing Services at Phoenix Children's, a position they still hold.

Susan Johnson attended Grand Canyon University from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership (MSN-NL). In addition, they obtained a certification in NEA-BC from ANCC in July 2018.
