Syed Jaffery

Syed Jaffery has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Syed began their career as a Web Developer at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in 2003, where they provided technical expertise and served as a technical lead. In 2006, they joined the City of Indianapolis - Marion County as a Project Manager, leading IT-focused projects and managing a team of junior project staff and web developers. Later that year, they transitioned to Eskenazi Health as a Program Coordinator, a role they held until 2010. At Indiana University Health, they worked as a Business Analyst from 2010 to 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at HonorHealth, where they held various roles including Administrative Fellow, Director (Bone Marrow Transplant & Leukemia), Project Director (Neuroscience), and Category Administrator. Currently, they are the Director of Business Operations at Phoenix Children's Hospital, a position they have held since July 2021.

Syed Jaffery holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership from the University of California, San Francisco (completed in 2015) and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University (completed in 2004). Additional certifications obtained by Syed Jaffery include a Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Duke Corporate Education (expected to be obtained in 2022), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) from Healthcare Financial Management Association (obtained in 2017), Technology Entrepreneurship from Stanford University (obtained in 2014), Lean Six Sigma - Yellow Belt from Indiana University Health (obtained in 2013), Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile (obtained in April 2020), and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
