Joe Kavanagh

Joe Kavanagh currently serves as the Head of Capital Oversight at Phoenix Group since July 2024. Prior to this role, Joe held several key positions in the actuarial field, including Group Capital Actuary at Legal & General from November 2018 to June 2024 and Head of Capital and Actuarial at Aviva International Insurance from November 2015 to May 2018. Joe's career began with a focus on actuarial solutions at Deloitte, progressing through various actuarial roles at Prudential UK and Friends Life UK. Joe holds a Master of Mathematics (MMaths) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Exeter, completed between 1998 and 2002.
