Stephen Whittaker

Stephen Whittaker is an experienced audit professional with a focus on IT auditing and governance. Currently serving as an Audit Specialist for Europe at Phoenix Group since June 2020, Stephen previously held positions as Senior Internal Audit Manager for IT and IT Audit Manager (Contractor) at Grant Thornton LLP. Stephen's auditing journey includes roles as Senior IT Auditor at The Co-operative Bank plc, Testing Manager, and Audit Manager at Lloyds Banking Group, and earlier experiences as IT and Data Auditor at Kingfisher and Senior Consultant at RSM Tenon. With a solid educational background that includes a Master of Arts in Modern Languages from The University of Manchester and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages, Stephen combines expertise in audit processes with strong language skills.
