Tharindu Karunarathne

Tharindu Karunarathne is an experienced marketing professional with a diverse background in digital marketing and communications. Currently serving as a Senior Manager - Marketing and Communications at Phoenix Industries since November 2021, Tharindu also lectures on Digital Marketing at the Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing. Previous roles include Assistant Manager - Marketing & E-Commerce at Homelux (Pvt) Ltd, where responsibilities included heading the marketing department, and Assistant Brand Manager at Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC, managing various well-known brands and launching VARTA Batteries in Sri Lanka. Tharindu's career began at CIC as a Trainee, progressing through roles such as Brand Executive at Amana Takaful PLC and Brand Marketing Intern at HEMAS HOLDINGS PLC. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wolverhampton, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM, and a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing.
