Tom Massie has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on providing care and support to individuals with specialist social or educational needs. Tom started their career in 2007 as a Support Worker at Southern Cross Healthcare Group, where they worked in a supported living house for adults with disabilities. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Residential Education Worker at Broomhayes School & Children's Centre, a role focused on working with autistic individuals. In 2009, they joined Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd and held various positions such as Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and Area Manager, responsible for managing and developing different divisions within the company. In 2014, they became the Director of Community Living, overseeing strategic planning and operational leadership for Shaw's supported living, residential care, home care, and specialist rehabilitation services. Currently, Tom Massie is the Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Learning & Care Group, a well-respected provider of services for individuals with specialist needs.
Tom Massie completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Portsmouth. Tom pursued higher studies at the University of the West of England and earned a Master of Science degree in Statistics & Management Science.

Phoenix Learning & Care Group was established in 2006, based in Devon with an expanding portfolio of innovative and quality focused services throughout the South of England and Wales. We provide a range of services for people with differing needs and work to give every individual the chance to flourish. Supporting individuals with specialist social or educational needs, we have quickly grown to be a well-respected provider of services and continue to grow with new and innovative care and education solutions for children and young adults. The key areas of focus are: 1. Specialist schools providing education to young people with SEMH needs or LD/autism from ages 11 to 16. 2. Independent Specialist Residential Colleges providing bespoke education to young adults with learning disabilities and autism from ages 16 to 25. 3. Residential Children’s homes for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. 4. Supported living and residential care for young adults.
