Obi Nwokorie

Obi Nwokorie is currently the Managing Director at Phoenix Merchant Partners, a position held since October 2024, and serves on the boards of Nigeria Higher Education Foundation and MaTontine. Previously, Nwokorie held board member roles at Impac Mortgage Corp. and worked as Executive Vice President, Alternative Credit Products and Chief Investment Officer at Seer Capital Management. Nwokorie’s earlier experience includes significant roles at African Real Estate Investment Advisors, Credit Suisse, UBS, and CSFB, focusing on structured finance solutions and mortgage trading. Nwokorie began a career at PwC as a Senior Deal Manager and earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Baltimore from 1992 to 1994.
