Silvia Arrua

Silvia Arrua is a skilled software test engineer with extensive experience in the electric vehicle sector. Currently employed at Proterra since June 2024, Silvia previously held positions as a simulation test engineer at both Phoenix Motorcars and Proterra Inc, where responsibilities included developing Hardware-in-the-Loop testing benches for EV applications and software validation for powertrain and energy management systems. Silvia's foundational work as a research associate at Universidad Nacional de Asunción involved evaluating the performance of multi-modular converters for distributed generation applications. At the University of South Carolina, research as an assistant focused on distribution power system modeling and control system development. Silvia holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Asunción.
