Varun Gettam

Varun Gettam is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in the automotive sector. Currently serving as a Senior Developer at PHOENIX Pharmahandel GmbH & Co KG since January 2025, Varun previously held the role of Senior Software Engineer at Cerence Inc. from December 2018 to December 2024, specializing in high-level and low-level design, implementation, and code reviews for the Cerence Embedded Speech System. Prior to that, Varun was a Senior Technical Lead Engineer at Aptiv, focusing on HiL and SiL based prototypes for active safety feature validation. Varun's background also includes a position as Senior Lead Engineer at Mercedes Benz Research and Development, where expertise in automotive infotainment application development was demonstrated.
