Brian Kinnune

Brian Kinnune has a strong background in operations and engineering, with experience in the lighting industry. Brian is currently the VP of Engineering and Operations at Phoenix Lighting since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Cree Lighting from 2011 to 2021, including VP of Operations and Director of Operations. In these positions, Brian led teams in manufacturing LED luminaires and oversaw functions such as finishing, assembly, shipping/receiving, and continuous improvement. Brian was also involved in on-shoring manufacturing for improved cost and lead time. Before Cree Lighting, Brian worked at Cree and Ruud Lighting, where they held roles as Director of Operations, Director of Engineering Services, and Director of Product Design. In these positions, they led teams in developing NPI and VA/VE Lighting projects for mass production and provided support in areas like industrial engineering, process engineering, and prototype development. Overall, Brian Kinnune has extensive experience in manufacturing and operations management within the lighting industry.

Brian Kinnune has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Brian also studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Miami. In addition, they hold a certification as a Certified SolidWorks Professional.
