Matthew Arenas

Matthew Arenas is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Student Success at Phoenix Union High School District since May 2017. With a strong background in both administration and instruction, Matthew has held positions as an Instructional Leader in Science, a High School Science Teacher, and a variety of coaching roles, including Varsity Assistant Football Coach and JV Head Football Coach. Prior to this, Matthew was involved in leadership and developmental roles at Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and Arizona State University. Matthew holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a focus on Biological Sciences from Arizona State University.
