Dr Bharat Saraf

Dr Bharat Saraf serves as the Group Head of Global Data Privacy, Data Governance, and Data Ethics at PhonePe since October 2020, where responsibilities include building the privacy function from the ground up and leading the development of the privacy strategy and compliance program. Prior experience at EY as a Senior Manager involved designing a data privacy service based on the GDPR framework and advising clients across over 70 countries on privacy frameworks. Earlier roles included regulatory compliance advisory for multinational clients at Legasis Services Pvt. Ltd. and academic positions at Deakin University and Monash University. Dr Bharat Saraf holds a PhD in Law from Monash University and is currently enrolled in the Executive Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford.
