James L. Lee has a long and varied career in the technology industry. In 1999, they began their career as a VoIP & Network Engineering with ZoomTown.com, a well-funded startup launched and wholly-owned by Cincinnati Bell Telephone. In 2000, they moved to CBTS, where they held the role of Managed Services Manager. In 2004, they joined EMC as an Area Business Manager and helped to grow EMC Archiving Solutions from $250M to $1B in annual sales and then helped to grow EMC Backup & Recovery Solutions business unit from its creation to over $1B in annual sales in under two years. In 2007, they became a Founding Partner at RoundTower Technologies, LLC, where they helped to build the company from inception to nearly $500M in annual sales. James L. was responsible for Sales, Business Development, and Mentoring while serving clients around the globe. In 2014, they joined Park Bench Solutions as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. James L. grew Park Bench Solutions revenues by over 3X in 2 years and converted from legacy software to SaaS company. In 2022, they joined Phonism as Chief Operating Officer. Phonism provides intelligent Device Lifecycle Management as a service for the Telecom industry. James L. also joined inlayer as Executive Board Member and Park Bench Holding Co. as Managing Partner in the same year. In March 2022, they negotiated and closed the sale of Park Bench Solutions.
James L. Lee began their educational career at Anderson High School from 1989 to 1992. James L. then attended The Ohio State University from 1992 to 1996, majoring in Honors Engineering. James L. concluded their educational pursuits with a degree in Finance with a focus on Information Systems and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati, which they attended from 1997 to 1999.
