Ed Kiyoi

Technical Marketing Engineer at Phoseon Technology

Ed Kiyoi has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Ed started their career in 1979 as an Engineering Intern at Hewlett-Packard, where they worked on designing and prototyping circuits. Ed then joined Tektronix in 1980 as a Design Engineer and later became an Engineering Project Manager.

In 1984, Kiyoi moved to Magni, a design and manufacturing company serving the professional television industry. Here, they led a joint internal and offshore engineering team and played a crucial role in developing a line of operational test equipment. This product line won an NATAS Technical Emmy award in 1991.

Kiyoi returned to Tektronix in 1995, initially as the US Business Development Manager and later as the Manager, Product Marketing. In this role, they drove the development of a new modular platform for Tektronix' Video Business Unit, managing a team of product managers.

From 2000 to 2002, Kiyoi served as a Product Marketing Manager at Clarity Visual Systems, where they managed a team of business development managers and generated new opportunities within key vertical markets.

In 2002, they joined Platt Electric Supply as a Business Development Consultant, providing analysis and recommendations for a new business line focused on catalog and online sales.

Kiyoi then joined MTI in 2004, where they held two roles. As a Product Manager, they managed two core product lines targeted at retail store environments. Ed was responsible for signal management products and interactive digital signage solutions. Later, as a Product Engineer, they created product Functional Specification and Design Validation Test documentation and directed offshore development teams.

Most recently, Kiyoi has been working at Phoseon Technology since 2012 as a Technical Marketing Engineer.

From 1976 to 1980, Ed Kiyoi attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
