Andy Whitton

Andy Whitton currently serves as a City Council Member for the City of Marion, Indiana, starting January 2024. With extensive experience in mechanical design, Andy has worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at PHOTON AUTOMATION, INC. since August 2020 and previously held a similar role at Computer Age Engineering from June 2013 to August 2020. Prior experience includes positions as a Design Engineer at Jarrett Engineering Company and as a Quality Assurance Manager/Mechanical Engineer at Computer Age Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed machinery design, project management, and customer service. Andy's career began as a Mechanical Designer at Jarrett Engineering, building a robust foundation in custom machinery and automation equipment design. Educational background includes an Associate's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Ball State University and completion of a Vocational Drafting Program at Marion Community Schools Tucker Career & Technology.
