John Coulter is a seasoned Senior UX/UI Designer currently at Photon since September 2025, with extensive experience in enhancing user engagement and satisfaction across various platforms. Prior to Photon, John held the position of Senior UI/UX Designer at SugarCRM from February 2020 to September 2025, leading significant productivity-driven design projects for a global user base. With nearly 25 years as an Illustrator at Lilla Rogers Studio, John produced diverse visual work for prestigious clients and brands such as Trader Joe’s and Hallmark. John also served as Creative Director at VEGAS.com, directing marketing campaigns and improving the user journey through collaborative UX efforts. Previous roles include Art Director at EarthLink and Graphic Designer at Esri, alongside earlier experience as a Crop Extensionist with the Peace Corps. John holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Truman State University.
