Melissa Mitchell

Melissa Mitchell, JD, CHC, currently serves as the Chief Privacy Officer at Phreesia, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this, Melissa held several roles at Amazon from August 2020 to April 2023, including Chief of Privacy at Amazon Health and Compliance and Privacy Lead. Melissa also served as the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab from June 2019 to July 2020, and as the Chief Compliance Officer at Sinai Health System from June 2016 to June 2019, where earlier roles included Director of Audit and Compliance and Audit and Compliance Manager. Melissa began a legal career as an attorney at Mack Law Group from November 2009 to September 2013 and worked as a Writer/Analyst at Wolters Kluwer Law & Business from November 2013 to May 2016. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from New College of Florida.
