Dharia McGrew

Dharia McGrew, PhD, is currently the Director of State Policy for the Pacific Northwest region at PhRMA, a position held since October 2021. Prior to this, McGrew served as a Senior Legislative Advocate at the California Dental Association from September 2016 to October 2021, where responsibilities included developing advocacy strategies and analyzing various dental policy issues. McGrew's experience in legislative policy also includes roles as a Senior Policy Consultant for the California State Assembly’s Health Committee and as a Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the California Council on Science and Technology. With a doctoral degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from Brandeis University, McGrew conducted extensive research on inherited retinal degeneration and has also held positions as a research associate and science educator.
