Douglas Petersen has a diverse work experience in the field of international trade and policy. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Research Analyst at the Cato Institute, where they researched and analyzed U.S. trade and investment laws. In 2013, they held various positions, including a Judicial Internship at the U.S. Court of International Trade, a Law Clerk at the U.S. International Trade Commission, and a Law Clerk at the U.S. House of Representatives. From 2014 to 2015, Douglas worked as an International Trade Associate at White & Case LLP, advising sovereign and corporate clients on U.S. and international trade laws. Douglas later served as the International Trade Counsel for the United States Senate from 2015 to 2018, providing advice to the Senate Finance Committee. Currently, since 2018, Douglas is employed as the Deputy Vice President, International at PhRMA, where they hold a leadership position in overseeing international affairs.
Douglas Petersen has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from New York University, a Master of Science (MSc) degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and has attended the University of Utah.
