David Burt

David Burt is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in entrepreneurship and innovation. Currently serving as the Director of Entrepreneurship at UNSW since March 2020, David leads the UNSW Founders team to support the startup aspirations of the university community. In addition to this role, David holds non-executive directorships at Phyllome, Cicada Innovations, RapidAIM Pty Ltd, and the Planet Ark Environmental Foundation, contributing expertise in sustainable food systems, deep tech startups, and environmental initiatives. David's prior experience includes co-founding and managing the ON Program at CSIRO, which empowered researchers in commercializing their technologies, along with roles in various educational institutions, including the University of Sydney. Education includes a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Management from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Management from AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
