Babak Bastami

Babak Bastami has over 15 years of work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Babak started their career in 2004 as a Radar Systems Design Engineer at Sharif University of Technology Research Center. In 2006, they were a Scholar Visitor at Supelec and a Research Assistant at Michigan Technological University. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In 2011, they became the R&D Director at Load IQ Inc. Babak then moved to Belkin International in 2015 as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. In 2017, they joined Phyn as a Senior Manager, Data Science and Machine Learning and as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer.

Babak Bastami has a long and distinguished educational history. Babak began their education in 1996, earning a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic. Babak then continued their studies at the same institution, graduating with a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2003. In 2006, they attended Michigan Technological University for one year before transferring to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2011.
