During his sophomore year in college, Andrew experienced a shoulder injury requiring extensive physical therapy. This event, along with the caring effort of his physical therapist, lead Andrew to change his career path towards the pursuance of a degree in physical therapy.
Andrew graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Studies. Aside from being a part of the marching band, he participated in campus and community activities including OU’s Big Event, an annual student volunteer-driven community service project. He married his high school sweetheart in November 2010 and now resides in Oklahoma City where he and his wife are excited to enjoy the comforts of their first home. Soon after moving to his new home, he adopted a Golden Retriever who, at times, is a little on the crazy side..but is still the best dog in the world. Andrew’s wife, Maria, pursues a rewarding career as a speech-language pathologist. When not at work, he loves spending time with his wife, reading for pleasure, traveling, exercising, and snow skiing. He loves fitness in general and running outside when Oklahoma weather allows it.
