Makaela Press

Makaela Press is an experienced professional in public health, international studies, and community engagement, currently serving as a Sexual Violence in Conflict Zones Intern at Physicians for Human Rights since February 2024. In addition to this role, Makaela is a Trip Leader for ARCC Programs, guiding high school students on conservation trips, and a Youth Program Instructor at Bouldering Project, focusing on youth climbing education. Previous experience includes coordinating global student success initiatives at Northeastern University, managing research data at Tufts University School of Medicine, and engaging with refugee families through Hello Neighbor. Makaela's academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, complemented by ongoing studies in monitoring and evaluation.
