Gregory Lopez

Consultant, Environment & Health Program at Physicians for Social Responsibility

Gregory Lopez assists the PSR Environment and Health Program in educating and activating its members and chapters to take action on emerging climate change issues that threaten public health. Gregory brings a decade of experience working towards a more just and sustainable future to PSR. Previously, Gregory led the development of the Climate Program at the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, where he deployed over $10M to advance clean energy, conservation, and sustainable food solutions. Among his achievements at LDF, Gregory had the honor to launch the Fiji Rural Electrification Fund at Cop23 with Prime Minister Bainimarama, which aimed to bring affordable renewable energy to rural communities throughout Fiji. Additionally, Gregory served as Project Manager and Smart City Director at 7th Generation Advisors, working closely with international NGO’s, governments, and other partners to implement sustainable solutions. Gregory also co-founded Better Than One, a sustainable apparel and design company that aimed to create positive social and environmental impact through campaigns and community engagement.

Based in Los Angeles, Gregory consults with clients on climate change and sustainability issues, with an emphasis on equity and justice. Gregory also serves on the Board and Executive Committee of Interfaith Power & Light, an organization committed to mobilizing the faith community to act on climate change. Last, but not least, Gregory is a proud graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Environmental Systems and Society.
