Keith Burnett

Keith Burnett is a seasoned academic and leader, currently serving as the Chair of the Nuffield Foundation Trustees Board and as a Non Executive Director at Study Group. They have held prominent positions including Vice-Chancellor at The University of Sheffield from 2007 to 2018 and Head of the MPLS Division at the University of Oxford from 2005 to 2007. Burnett also contributes as the President of the Institute of Physics and has been involved with Rhodes Trust as Chair Emeritus of the Schmidt Science Fellows since 2023. They earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Oxford, completing their studies in 1978.
