Arnas Lucassen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Arnas began their career in 2004 as an intern at MWG Biotech. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bielefeld, where they conducted high-resolution multi-dimensional molecular beam mass spectrometry measurements in flames of transportation fuel components. Arnas also developed and implemented quantitative methods for investigating nitrogenated flame components and contributed to instrumental design. In 2011, Arnas worked briefly as a Postdoc at the University of Science and Technology of China. Arnas then joined Sandia National Laboratories in 2012 as a Postdoctoral Appointee, focusing on experiment design and automation for fundamental experiments in combustion chemistry. Arnas also developed new methods for quantitative measurements in flames and investigated low-temperature oxidation and pyrolysis of prototypical biofuels and fuel components. Since 2014, Arnas has been associated with the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, where they initially served as a Researcher. Currently, they hold the position of Head of the Working Group "Explosion Processes Under Non-Atmospheric Conditions".
Arnas Lucassen has a strong educational background in the field of Chemistry. Arnas began their education at Lise-Meitner-Schule, where they completed their degree as a Chemisch technischer Assistent in 2002. From there, they went on to Hochschule Aalen and graduated in 2006 with a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Chemie degree. Arnas pursued further academic excellence at the University of Bielefeld, where they obtained their Doktor rer. nat. degree in Chemistry in 2011. With these educational achievements, Arnas Lucassen possesses a solid foundation in Chemistry, making him well-equipped for professional opportunities in this field.
