Lukas Winter

Lukas Winter is an accomplished staff scientist, principal investigator, and project coordinator at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) since July 2018, specializing in open source medical technology and MRI safety. Prior experience includes a role as a scientist at the Max Delbrück Center, focusing on thermal magnetic resonance and affordable MRI solutions, among other research areas. Lukas has a strong background in algorithm development and image processing from an internship at Siemens Healthcare and has contributed to various collaborative projects at institutions such as IIT Madras and Universitätsklinikum Aachen. Lukas holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from RWTH Aachen University and a doctorate in Biophysics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, complemented by diverse educational experiences in India and the Czech Republic.
