Assistant Content Manager at Physiopedia

Vidya Acharya has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Vidya began as a Physiotherapy intern at Bombay Hospital in 2001 and went on to work as a Physiotherapist at various institutions, including Jaslok Hospital and Bombay Hospital. In 2005, Vidya assumed the role of Assistant Lecturer at Dr D Y Patil College of Physiotherapy. Vidya then joined Physiopedia in 2018, starting as a Volunteer and eventually becoming a Research Manager. At Physiopedia, they were involved in volunteer engagement, mentoring, and managing content development projects. Vidya also contributed as a Community Volunteer at Cochrane. Vidya'smost recent role is as the Assistant Content Manager at Physiopedia, where they continue to support and encourage the volunteer content team.

Vidya Acharya's education history begins with their completion of a Secondary School Certificate at Gokhale High School. Vidya then went on to earn a Higher Secondary Certificate from Sathaye College in 1997. Following this, Acharya pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from C.M.F College of Physiotherapy at Pune University, which they completed in 2001. Vidya'seducation continued as they pursued a Masters of Physiotherapy (M.P.Th) degree with a specialization in Neurophysiotherapy at the Dept. of Physiotherapy, Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M Hospital, University of Mumbai from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Acharya has obtained various certifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Care Management from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care through a correspondence course in 2001. Vidya has also completed a Training Course in Science Journalism conducted by the Indian Science Communication Society in 2016, among other courses and certifications in diverse fields.
