Laurent Melin has extensive work experience in sales and management roles. Laurent currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Sales at PI (Physik Instrumente) Group since January 2024. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Sales EMEA at the same company from June 2022 to January 2024.

Before joining PI Group, Laurent held the position of President at Polytec France from May 2019 to June 2022, and Managing Director from August 2011 to May 2019. Laurent also worked at Keithley Instruments as the Distribution Sales Manager EMEA from October 2008 to August 2011 and as the Inside Sales Manager for France, Italy, and the UK from April 2004 to September 2008.

Earlier in their career, Laurent worked as a Recruitment Consultant at Michael Page from January 2001 to December 2003. Laurent started their career at Solectron in February 1995 as a Customer Satisfaction and Project Manager, where they handled worldwide customer contact and was responsible for quality in production until December 2000.

Laurent Melin obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they received a Licentiate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Paris Nanterre from 1992 to 1993. Laurent also holds a certification in Miller Heiman Strategic Selling from Miller Heiman Europe GmbH, an MHI Global company, which was obtained in 2008.
