Stéphane Bussa has a diverse work experience in sales and leadership roles. Stéphane started their career in 1998 as a Sales Manager EMEA at Thales Laser and then moved on to become a Key Account Manager at Alcatel Optronics in 2001. In 2003, they joined Keithley Instruments as a Global Account Manager. In 2007, Stéphane became the Managing Director at PI France SAS, where they later served as the President/CEO from 2012. Stéphane then joined the PI (Physik Instrumente) Group in 2016, initially as the VP Sales & Marketing and later taking on the role of Chief Sales Officer in January 2020.
Stéphane Bussa earned a Master's degree in Opto-Electronic Engineering from Polytech Paris-Saclay, specializing in the field of Engineering and Optronic. This educational journey took place from 1992 to 1997.

Ultra precision Motion, Positioning and Control are the core elements of PI's global success. For over 4 decades PI have been researching, designing and manufacturing world class precision positioners. Core technologies to the companies portfolio is piezo motor driven positioning systems, hexapod multiaxis robots, and an extensive array of linear, rotary and multiaxis stages for precision alignment tasks. In addition we manufacture our own piezo ceramic material which can be supplied in component form for a variety of transducer and actuation applications. . Products are designed and manufactured in Germany and in the UK we work closely with our customers to ensure they have access to the best technology advice. Applications experience is extensive in fields such as high end automation, the medical device market, biophotonics, nanotechnology and photonics alignment. The semiconductor market has been served for many years with products going into high end lithography tools and metrology instrumentation.
