Jan-Bernd Gier

Jan-Bernd Gier has extensive work experience in various roles and companies, primarily in the field of supply chain management and purchasing. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Purchasing Manager at Braun GmbH. Jan-Bernd then moved to The Gillette Company, where they served as a Senior Purchasing Manager from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they joined The Procter & Gamble Company as a Senior Purchasing Manager from 2006 to 2008. From 2009 to 2010, Gier worked at FLG Automation AG as the Head of Purchasing and a member of the management team. In 2011, they joined PIA Automation Amberg GmbH, where they held multiple roles as the Head of Materials Management and a member of the management team. Jan-Bernd later became the Managing Director from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, Gier embarked on interim management and consulting work before assuming their current position as Vice President of Business Process, Supply Chain Management, and IT at PIA Automation since 2022.

Jan-Bernd Gier holds a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1995, they completed their Industrial Clerk degree at Messer Griesheim GmbH.
