Verena Laier

Verena Laier has a diverse work experience in various roles within the communications and public relations field. Their most recent position is as Lead Corporate Communications at PIABO, which they started in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager (Corporate) Communications at PIABO from July 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining PIABO, Verena was employed by on time PR GmbH as a PR & HR Manager, responsible for lifestyle clients such as rebado, Locke hotels, Yankee Candle, ELLE DECORATION by Crown, and Alpinols. Verena worked at on time PR GmbH from November 2019 to June 2021.

Verena also worked as a PR Manager at ressourcenmangel GmbH in Berlin from June 2019 to September 2019, where they handled communication for the agency. Additionally, they were a member of the Hirschen Group GmbH - Home of the Brave, responsible for press and social media communication for ressourcenmangel in June 2019, also.

Earlier in their career, Verena held positions at haebmau as a Junior PR Consultant and PR Assistant from June 2018 to July 2019. Verena started their career as a PR Trainee at On Time PR in July 2016 and worked there until July 2017. Verena also completed a Volontariat at Biss PR from August 2015 to June 2016.

Verena has gained experience outside of the public relations field as well. Verena worked in customer care service at Lufthansa from February 2015 to July 2015 and served as a student research assistant at Deutsches Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung (DIPF) from April 2012 to February 2015. Verena also completed an internship at Boehringer Ingelheim from July 2011 to October 2011.

Verena Laier completed their education from 2007 to 2014 at Goethe University Frankfurt, where they received a Magister degree in Romanische Sprachen, Literaturen und Linguistik. Additionally, they studied at Universidade do Porto from 2009 to 2010, earning a second Magister degree in the same field. Verena has also obtained the certification of Mag. Phil. Rom.
