Stefano Talami

Stefano Talami has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Their most recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer at Piam Farmaceutici S.p.A. from 2018. Prior to that, they held positions such as BD, Sales and Operations Director at Cycle Pharmaceuticals from 2016 to 2018, Business Development Director at Hovione from 2015 to 2016, and Business Development Director Aesica at Recipharm from 2011 to 2014. Stefano also has experience as a Sales and Marketing Director at Curia (formerly AMRI) from 2009 to 2011, and a Business Development Manager at Zambon Advanced Chemicals (Zach System S.p.A.) from 2005 to 2009. Stefano started their career as a Product Manager at Chemi SpA (Italfarmaco) from 2003 to 2005 and held various roles at Croda from 1999 to 2003. Stefano's early career included being a Pharmacist-Chemist Lieutenant in the Italian Army, where they had professional, administrative, and managerial responsibilities at the Italian Military Pharmaceutical Factory and Research Centre and Forensic Military Hospital of Florence from 1995 to 1996.

Stefano Talami has a diverse education history. Stefano began their academic journey by obtaining a Laurea (M.Phil.) in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Università degli Studi di Firenze, which they completed between 1987 and 1993. Stefano then pursued further studies at The University of Sheffield, where they earned a PhD in Chemistry from 1996 to 1999.

To expand their knowledge beyond the scientific field, Talami enrolled at The Open University. Stefano completed a Professional Certificate in Management, focusing on Professional Diploma in Management, from 1999 to 2000. Furthermore, they obtained an MBA degree from the same institution between 2000 and 2001.

Looking to specialize in the intersection of health economics and pharmacoeconomics, Talami attended Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2011 to 2012. Here, they pursued a Master's degree in International Master's Degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics.
